Infection Prevention
The Infection Prevention Branch of the Epidemiology Division provides training, consultation, infection policies, and procedures related to prevention and control of infections caused by bacteria and viruses found in both hospital settings and in the community. Some examples of these infections are Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA), vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE), Clostridium perfringens, and Norovirus. These services are structured to the needs of ADPH, the medical community, and the public.
