Tobacco Policy Tracking System

The Policy Tracking System includes the following information:

• state laws on tobacco
• state, county, and city tobacco excise taxes
• model policies for schools, worksites and cities
• city tobacco ordinances
• policy summary reports for city ordinances, worksite policies, and school policies

The Tobacco Policy Tracking System is updated on a continuous basis as new policies are passed. In addition, every July, Area Tobacco Control Coordinators verify city tobacco ordinance information for cities with a population of 2,000 or more.
