Annual Women's Health 5K Run and One-Mile Mother-Daughter Walk
The Annual Women's Health 5K Run and 1 Mile Mother-Daughter Walk "Women on the Move to Improve Women's Health," sponsored by the Office of Women’s Health Advisory Committee in partnership with Baptist Health, was held on May 10, 2014, in Montgomery, Alabama; and, in partnership with the St. Vincent's Health System, on May 17, 2014, in Homewood, Alabama.
These events are designed to empower women to make their health a top priority, increase the awareness of women’s health issues and highlight resources that are available for health and wellness for women in the state of Alabama. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be used to sponsor selected girls participation in the 2014 Fall Girls on the Run Program. Many families as well as individual walkers and runners attended to support the health of women across Alabama.
