Healthcare Sector Committee
Due to new requirements from the alignment of the Hospital Preparedness Program and Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program, the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) has moved from the previous 6 hospital planning regions to 11 healthcare coalition areas which are aligned with the 11 public health areas. These coalitions will be beneficial in ongoing preparedness efforts of ADPH and partner agencies in regard to Emergency Support Function (ESF) 8 for the Alabama Emergency Operations Plan.
The Statewide Healthcare Sector will no longer conduct quarterly conference calls. In an effort to build and sustain these coalitions, collaboration at the local level is essential. Any concerns, issues or suggestions can be directed to the Emergency Preparedness team members as well as Ann Brantley at ann.brantley@adph.state.al.us in the ADPH Center for Emergency Preparedness.
